The idea is to have pictures within pictures to provide an interactive relationship with the viewer and the photographer. With traditional photography the viewer is limited to just the picture that is presented to the viewer at that specific moment. With this idea and the level of interaction, the viewer can now explore the photograph deeper. Being able to examine multiple elements within the picture. This will allow the viewer to break away from the traditional way of viewing photos and allow for a new non traditional way or new media way of viewing images.
For example the viewer is presented with a photo. Rather then examining the photo and not being able to dig deeper into it, the viewer is allowed to focus on certain things within the photo and “dig deeper”. Once clicked on or moused over, the certain thing in the photo will become the new photo with more things that the viewer can “dig deeper” into.
In the first main image there will be multiple things that can be “dug deeper” into. Once the user chooses the path they can continue down the path “digging deeper” into the pictures. There will be many pictures with many different ways of exploring the deeper images within the main picture. The idea is that there is one photo with multiple elements within it that can be examined deeper. Once a viewer chooses which elements to examine, that element has more choices or items within it that can be examined deeper. This continues onward until the picture has been explored deeply enough or as much as I the photographer chooses. There are multiple ways of digging into the photos it is just a matter of the choice that the viewer makes that will take them down whatever path they choose.
